Good food just tastes better outside. ☀️
Whether you’re looking for margaritas with friends, somewhere the kids can burn off some energy, live music on a warm night, or just a table in the sunshine, Mt. Juliet has plenty of places to eat and hang outside.
Here are some of our favorite patios around town.

Hillside Hangout
12192 Lebanon Rd.
If we’re talking outdoor hangouts, this one belongs near the top of the list. Hillside has a huge fenced-in backyard with plenty of room for the kids, outdoor seating, live music, smash burgers and local beer. It feels more like hanging out in someone’s really fun backyard than sitting on a restaurant patio.
Buzz Tip: One of our favorites when the adults want to actually sit and enjoy themselves while the kids have room to move.

The Goat Mt. Juliet
1127 Westwood Blvd.
The Goat gives you more of an active, social patio experience. Grab food or drinks and hang outside, and there’s even sand volleyball nearby if you’re feeling considerably more ambitious than we usually are. 😂
Buzz Tip: Great for meeting a group of friends when you want more than just dinner.
Cinco De Mayo Mexican Restaurant Mt Juliet
580 Nonaville Rd.
Sometimes the patio requirement is really just code for “I want chips, queso and a margarita outside.” Cinco de Mayo understands the assignment. It’s a longtime Mt. Juliet favorite for casual Mexican food and drinks.
Buzz Tip: Margarita + patio weather. We don’t make the rules.
Barrel House Restaurant and Bar
3950 N. Mt. Juliet Rd.
Barrel House gives north Mt. Juliet another good outdoor option, with a broad American menu, cocktails and a particularly strong bourbon selection.
Buzz Tip: A good choice when your group can’t agree on what they want to eat—the menu covers a LOT of ground.
Burger Republic
1982 Providence Pkwy.
Right in Providence, Burger Republic is an easy patio stop for burgers, craft beer and their famous hand-spun shakes. It’s casual enough for the whole family but still works for drinks with friends.
Buzz Tip: Keep an eye on their socials—live music has been known to make an appearance on the patio.

M.L.Rose Neighborhood Pub - Providence
401 S. Mt. Juliet Rd., Suite 130
M.L.Rose’s partially covered patio is especially good for burgers, beers and game days. There are TVs outside, and the Mt. Juliet location is dog-friendly too.
Buzz Tip: Bring the pup and catch the game without giving up a beautiful-weather day.
Jonathan’s Grille
613 S. Mt. Juliet Rd.
Jonathan’s is the sports-bar patio pick. The menu has a little bit of everything, there are plenty of TVs, and it’s an easy choice when you want drinks, dinner and whatever game happens to be on.
Buzz Tip: This is the patio for the person who says, “Sure, we can sit outside—as long as I can still see the game.”
Calabria Italian Kitchen
1209 N. Mt. Juliet Rd.
Pizza on the patio? Yes, please. Calabria is a local favorite known for its brick-oven pizza and Italian menu, and the outdoor seating makes it an especially good choice when the weather cooperates.
Buzz Tip: Pizza + garlic knots + patio. That’s the order.
la Madeleine
105 Legacy Pointe Blvd., Suite C-1
For a quieter patio moment, la Madeleine gives you a completely different vibe from the sports bars and burger joints on this list. Grab coffee, breakfast, lunch or something from the bakery case and enjoy it outside.
Buzz Tip: This might be our pick when patio means coffee and croissant instead of beer and burger.
The Pub Bar and Grill
4136 N. Mt. Juliet Rd.
The Pub is your laid-back neighborhood bar-and-grill option, with plenty of beer, pub food and a steady rotation of entertainment and weekly happenings.
Buzz Tip: This one is less “fancy patio dinner” and more “let’s hang out for a while”—which sometimes is exactly what you’re looking for.
Mt. Juliet Sport & Social Co.
1720 N. Mt. Juliet Rd.
The name pretty much tells you what you’re getting here. Sport & Social is built around hanging out, with drinks, pizza and snacks, live music, trivia, karaoke-style events and plenty happening throughout the week.
Buzz Tip: Check their event calendar first and turn your patio night into an actual night out.
Cuerno Grill
12894 Lebanon Rd.
This one absolutely deserved the late addition. Cuerno’s enclosed patio is designed for year-round use—the windows can open up when Tennessee gives us one of those perfect weather days, while a fireplace makes it usable when things cool down. Add authentic Mexican food, a full bar and margaritas and you’ve got a pretty great patio night.
Buzz Tip: Save this one for those “Is it actually warm enough to sit outside?” days—the enclosed setup gives you options.
Did we miss your favorite?
We’re always looking for another great place to eat, drink and hang out around Mt. Juliet. If there’s a patio you think deserves a spot on this list, let us know!
Patio availability, entertainment and hours can change with the season and weather, so we always recommend checking directly with the restaurant before making a special trip.
